LIV BOLTON
a journalist, author, and the host of the chart-topping The Outdoors Fix podcast.
In 2018, after years of working in the high-stress environment of London newsrooms, she took a career break and walked 800 miles down the South Island of New Zealand on the Te Araroa long-distance hiking trail. The three months of being outdoors every day changed her perspective on life and work and led to the creation of The Outdoors Fix podcast.Â
BIO
She’s subsequently interviewed people from all over the UK about how they’ve made the outdoors a bigger part of their lives. Recordings have taken place on the sides of mountains, by lakes, in sheep barns and in the pouring rain…

The Outdoors Fix podcast, which is in its 8th series, has reached No. 1 on the Apple Podcasts Great Britain-Wilderness category several times.

The stories and tips from the podcast have now been pulled together in a book, The Outdoors Fix, which was published in March 2023 by Vertebrate Publishing.Â
Liv is also a producer for BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour and her writing has appeared in Telegraph Travel, The Evening Standard and The Great Outdoors magazine. She lives on the edge of the Chilterns.Â
